For the money, I don't think you can go wrong with these, which use better hubs, and are handbuilt:

I think it's a typo - should be 18-28 tyre width. Rim specifications here:

What is the 30mm machined rim, compared to mach 1 21mm?

I ran 25's and 28's on the 30mm (Weinmann DP18) rims with no problems.
The Mach1s will be fine, spec says 18-28

And picking 21mm vs 30mm is the depth of the rim rather than anything to do with what tyre it'll take. It's mostly your preference - do you prefer the deeper section look?
If you're riding on the road then you want a machined brake track.

I have a set of them. Nice and light, they are noticeably quicker than my old wheel set and pretty light to boot.

I've gone for the mach 1 rims.

Asked if they can fit a fixed/fixed hub, rather than fixed/freehwheel, since most freewheels are censored , and the good ones are expensive (and having freewheel might as well ride the roadie/touring) fixed is much cheaper, so with going from 23 with 15T to 28mm tyres I may want to fit 16T opposite side as 28mm means bit higher gearing.

They come with a 16tooth ring fitted. I changed this and stuck a Halo Clickster freewheel (16t) bit heavier as I never got the hang of being fixed.

Done 500 miles on fixed, I've gotten used to it.

I've left the freewheel on so it keeps the threads clean.

Considering the price of (decent) freewheels, dual sided fixed would be ideal. The Miche has one side fixed, other side freewheel.

As for 1/8" sprocket, I assume not a good idea to use that with my 3/32 chain?

Er aren't all track sprockets 1/8 and yes a 32 chain will be fine.

Hmm, drop him an email, or use the lfgss thread. I assume on the sprocket as he tends to build wheels for track then maybe doesn't stock the smaller cogs. Easiest solution would be get a 1/8 chain, as that'll work fine on the 3/32 chainring. Not what boff said though, a 3/32 chain wont fit a 1/8 cog

Big chain on small chainring rattles a bit but is fine.
But small chain on big chainring doesn't work...

yeah just tried the 1/8" sprocket on the bike, doesn't slot into the chain.

Santa brought me some a pair of these. Have done about 300km on them, rolling very sweetly.
