Idiotic Eureka Moments

If any of you listen to Frank Skinner's radio show/pod cast (if you don't you really should!) you will already be aware of this but for the rest of you they are the moment you realise something very obvious much much later than you should have.

for example, I was in my late teens/early twenties when I realised that the count on sesame street is a count because he counts things!!

or I only recently realised amigo loans are called that because you need a friend or family member to pay if you can't, or an amigo!

Anyone got any others?
