Hi,
I recently bought a bike light from DX to give a go and although its been brilliant I wish to replace the battery with something safer to charge up. My friends one recently exploded and I don't wish to take the chance. I haven't yet charged it. My lamp is 8.4 voltage, 4 x 18650 (2 in parallel; 2 in series). Believe its 2.1 mm and 5.5. sockets the usual.
Apart from MTB batteries which is going to cost ~£60 for magic shine type batteries and charge plug, does anyone have any recommendations for safe and compatible batteries that can be used? Also any ideas of charge plug that should be used too? Pictures of lamp and connectors are below
Many Thanks
Paul

The issue is predominantly not with the batteries but with the charger, makes much more sense to get a better charger first!Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

6 and 8 cell packs also available. Looks like a great pack, Panasonic NCR18650B are pretty much the best cells out there...0
