Who all has any experience of stopping the front extension piece from rattling when going over rough surfaces?

Not all that fussed about being able to unclip since they'll be on the bike permanently for the foreseeable future so thought about just filling up the attachment with araldite or similar?

This winter i decided not to put the front and rear extensions on and have been out in the rain, and not noticed much difference to using them or not.

so imo just take them off.
My winter bike is exactly the same as my summer bike,,, but dirty...

You might want to leave the rear extension bit on if you ride in a group - it does make a difference to those following you.

i mean the bit that sits under the brake bridge in the rear triangle to seat tube, not the wider part that attaches to the end of the rear guard.

Don't have a riveter unfortunately to do the full Fudgey bodge. I only actually have the front anyway as I bought Cruds when my rear Race Blade went a while back. Couldn't get new RBs as was caught in the gap of the originals being out of stock everywhere and SKS hadn't released the newer version yet. 3 months later and something took a chunk out of the front Crud so just bucketed it and put the leftover RB back on.

Never used to fit the small extension pieces as they never fitted when I had 25s, on 23s at the minute so was able to fit OK. It doesn't do much but I do think it does a decent job of stopping stuff being flicked up into your face and keeps the crud away from headset bearings etc. If anything it saves a few moments of cleaning at least!
