Tyre Damage

I punctured somewhere I could not stop (dodgy area) and cycled for a mile on the flat. I have damaged the sidewall of the tyre, and you can just see the fibres inside the tyre. Is it safe to use? seems like its in a position that would avoid glass etc.

Does the damage go all the way through the carcass? You could try putting a patch on the inside of the tyre - you may need to abrade the inside of the tyre to get the patch to stick.

I don't believe it does go all the way through. I'll roll with it. (pun intended)
