worn ultegra front derraileur?

Hi, I've just refitted my old ultegra cranks to my second bike after selling a power meter. all is supposedly fine except after adjusting my front mech to incorporate the 52/36 chainring, I am getting chain rub in the 11 and the 23/26 gears and everything is set pretty much perfectly. I've adjusted the bolts to allow everything to work, but its not right...

does this mean the mech is worn out? any hints?

    Is the trim function working on you're LH STI?

    If it's a band-on mech, is the cage absolutely parallel to the chainrings? It's easy to knock the derailleur around the seat tube, especially when taking off and refitting cranks, and it won't take much movement to introduce chain rub.

    Also, if you've changed size of the big ring, is the derailleur now at the correct height?
