My only observation is that it has a top pull front mech cable arrangement as you might expect on a true CX frameset. This means if it is running standard Ultegra 6800 or 105 5800 front mechs then there will have to be a pulley wheel fitted to the back end of the seat tube to allow the cabling to work properly.

I would view that as a potential problem area where crud might build up affecting the front shifting.

Otherwise it looks like a good spec for the cash in either Ultegra or 105 guise.

    No mudguard mounts.
  • Interesting point re the top/ bottom pull arrangement. I'll check that out....

Mudguards? Can't be bothered with them anymore tbh. Most road riding I do is either on my own or with one other (I blame power meters lol), and I'd like to be able to go off piste a bit. AssSaver is about as good as it'll get.

I'm only considering either 105 or Rival, not Ultegra for this...
