Hey all,

Not that the Blackfriars underpass is reduced to one lane each direction, and the whole stretch from Tower hill to Embankment tube station is dangerously packed with nearly standstill lorries, is there a more enjoyable alternative route?

On many stretches there's no space left on either left or right of traffic, and hence no choice but to (a) use the incoming lane, (b) mount the lane separator curb, (c) compete with the motorcycles between the orange cones.

The original route normally takes 25 min even in heavy traffic, but in wet it's a death trap.

Could always do Deptford, Old/New Kent Road and cross the river around Westminster, or if you're going further west then go up CS7 and cross at Battersea.
I don't think it's going to be any more fun though, just different.
