This website doesn't work:
http://www.bikeshepherd.org
It's supposed to help you find your stolen bike. I registered (provided quite a lot of personal details), I think successfully. At least I have an account to log on to the site with successfully. Then I tried to register my bike: put in all my bike details to register it as stolen, clicked register and got an empty, accept for all the navigation etc., page. No error, no success message. Has it worked or not? Who knows? Doing a search for the bike in stolen bikes I get nothing. But then doing a search for anything in the stolen bike search (the serial number I had just registered or not, any bike name, the word bike, bmx, mountain bike, anything), gets nothing, not "nothing found", nothing. I wrote an email to try and find out if I had successfully registered my bike several days ago. Nothing. Crap website.

I suspect it's not running any more. Their last blog entry was 2013, which to me doesn't suggest an actively managed website...0

The Police are all using Bikeregister now, of course you need to register BEFORE it's stolen!Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

Right, I see, thanks for pointing that out, hadn't noticed. They'd be doing people a favour to take it down then.0 -

Right. Bit late. I have registered the fact it was stolen and relevant details on https://stolen-bikes.co.uk (and of course reported it to the police).0 -

You can register it then update the status to stolen if you have enough details.0
