Canyon Spectral or Strive

Just wondering of anyone had any insights into these?
I'm torn between both of them my heart say Strive (but I'm concerned about the climbing, how wall does the Shapeshifter thing combat this?) and my head says Spectral (probably more appropriate for the majority of what I do, trail centres).
Just wondered if anyone has had any experience of either and could maybe share these.
Also any other suggestions would be gratefully received, although they are going to have to be good to compete with wither of the Canyons on value.
Thanks in advance

Well, the Shapeshifter thing is quite 'trick' and, let's face it, you can never have enough toys. All the gear, no idea and loving the smell of jealousy in the morning.

On the other hand its one more thing to go wrong. With. That being a canyon it could mean being without your bike for a while??0

There have been a lot of problems with the shapeshifter frames. The only fix is a replacement frame.
Personally I wouldn't have either. They have lots of nice parts for the price but the frames just aren't good enough, too much flex and wallowey rear suspension.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
Whyte have the T130
ROSE have the Granite Chief or Uncle Jimbo
Kona Process
Giant Trance
Radon Slide
Transition if you can afford it
Yeti SB5C if you want a shapeshifter system
There are plenty to select fromFamily, Friends, Fantastic trails - what else is there
