Radio 4, 7am, 16/11/2015, was I hearing things?

Did anyone else hear something unusual about the 7am pips on Radio 4 this morning, or did I have an auditory hallucination?

It sounded as if someone said "sh!t" immediately after the long pip. But then early morning, mind wandering, concentration elsewhere are all perfect conditions for hallucinating.

So I'm not going mad! I'm so pleased. And it turns out I wasn't the only one questioning whether I'd just dreamed it:

“Was it just my imagination or did Jim Naughtie just follow the 7am pips by saying "sh*t"?”
