Mehning Losers!
I'm absolutely knackered. I went to bed at 11, to find the builders next door were still doing work. At about 11:25, I was about to go to tell them to shut the fark up when they stopped.
Then, at 2am, I just woke up. Completely woke up. No idea why or how, but it took me about an hour and a half to fall back to sleep.
So fark today. I want to go back to bed.
Laters!

It takes as much courage to have tried and failed as it does to have tried and succeeded.

Builders working at 11pm on a Sunday? I thought they weren't allowed to make any noise on a Sunday or after midday on a Saturday. Aren't there rules about that kind of thing?
Plenty of meh going on around here too. A couple of people are out of the office so it might get busy later. It might help the day go a bit quicker I guess. Lots of emails to catch up on after my day out on Friday. Suppose I should pull my finger out. I've drunk my tea, who's going to make me another one?0 -
Morning fongtards...
Today is hopefully quiet, with some minor clothes washing and prep work for the Bruges trip coming up on Thursday! then I will be back on Monday! loving this holiday thing..

Did anybody else observe a minutes silence at 11am for the Frenchies? I forgot. But wouldn't have anyway, not to be disrespectful, I just don't know how it helps. It takes as much courage to have tried and failed as it does to have tried and succeeded.

Monday is dull, roll on Tuesday which involves pedalling and beer"I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0 -

Aren't there rules about that kind of thing?Environmental Health are the people. Your local council should have a link online. Usually speaking to the neighbour and/or builder solves the problem
"Where residential dwellings are likely to be affected by noise, the hours of noisy works must be restricted to:-
Monday to Friday: 8am to 6pm
Saturday: 8am to 1pm
Sunday and bank holidays: no noisy activities on site
Edit: Property owner working on their own place is different, but they should try to be reasonable.0 -

I don't think it helps at all, But in that minute I think it helps to make you appreciate the things we take for granted plus it is a sign of respect for the fallen.
Yes I did observe it, and my Monday involved fitting some new old XT V brakes to the commuter and giving it some TLC. She glides, didn't realise just how much difference slicks make.0 -
work meh, with a wet and windy ride either side0

In the past whilst on important phone calls, I demeaned silence. Felt guilty for explaining. Then I realised how selfless they were.0
