Death of Laurent Vidal

Laurent Vidal died of a heart attack last night at home in the south of France during his sleep. Not a pure bike racer Laurent Vidal was 5th in the London Games at Triathlon. He was due to marry Andrea Hewitt next year. Vidal had already suffered a heart attack during training last year.

A real shock when this came up in my twitter feed first thing this morning. Laurent had to retire from triathlon after suffering a heart attack whilst swimming a year or two ago, but had moved into coaching instead. He was only 31 :-(
