Dawes vs Giant ladies - help me to choose

Hello all! I need some help. I don;t have much experience with bikes. My wife have an old cheap one and I want to buy her a new one for her birthday in a week. She use it for commuting mainly - several miles a day. She wants something comfy, but stylish. After a small research i found two bikes on a offer, which I believe will suit her needs. Would you advice me about my choice and if it's good which one is better according to you.
