Has anyone removed the battery bracket from underneath the bottom bracket?

The bracket is loose and the fixing screw keeps revolving. There is a cover which sits underneath the bracket that moves and looks like it pops off I'm reluctant to try in case I'm wrong

Any ideas how I can get access to the bracket?
