Hi there, I have a novatec 24 spoke F372SB rear hub, which I find extremely noisy and I want to change it. Can anyone advise of an alternative that is quiet when freewheeling please. Wheels are Mavic Cosmic Carbone with elliptical style spokes.
Many thanks

Mavic wheels have Mavic hubs... if you have a Novate hub, they are not Mavic. Novatec hubs are not noisy

If it is a Novatec hub, try greasing the pawls. Mine got a bit noisy when I left it too long, greased the pawls in the freehub and it was quiet again.

If it's abnormally noisy, the freehub may have developed some play. Try spinning the wheel in your hand while pushing the freehub. If there is play, it's easy to replace the freehub body. Cycleclinic stock them.

A small dab of molyslip on the pawls will sort the noise out.

But as Ugo says, Mavic wheels have (the absolutely minging) Mavic hub, not Novatec hubs.
