I part melted my sealskinz with a hair dryer 4 years ago, I've stubbornly got them through each winter since (despite the scratchy melted bits) but it's time to finally get rid
Must be suitable for -5 to 5C

Day glow yellow and decent padding a nice to have.

So we need acronyms to describe seasons now? When did this happen and why wasn't I informed? And why is the year even relevant? Does it matter which autumn/winter we are discussing? Is it going to make a difference to what I choose to buy for this AW rather than next AW?
Anyway, I haven't time for this. I need an LWLSJ for A15S16 if anyone has any ideas.Faster than a tent.......0 -
Specialized 2.0?
Had some Specialized gloves a while back, and despite the fact they fell apart after one winter, I still class them as the best I've had. So much so that I wore them a second winter when they were distinctly past their best. The 'microwipe' bit is quite superb at clearing rain of your glasses.0 -

Early forecasts suggesting a mild and wet W15, as opposed to the cool and wet W14, so it could matter which we are discussing...
I used Louis Garneau Shield's (were half price in Evans) this time last year, and had suitably warm hands all Winter. I also grabbed some of the Fluoro gloves in Aldi on a whim whilst searching for the elusive 'moon-esque' lights, and have been mightily impressed so far, but probably not great for wet.0 -
Keep up at the back, it's AW15 because we all know AW14 kit is now obsolete and will lead to cold/wet/hands/crashing and misery.
Now if anyone has access to AW16 prototypes, even better.0 -

Basing purchases on long range weather forecasts? What happens if instead of W15 being MaW it turns out to be CaW or even FaS?
WD CK. How long did it take to work it out? 8)Faster than a tent.......0 -
Got some Sportful ones in Sigma last year that I'm pleased with. Probably not quite up to -5 for me but glove liners would fix that.0

Ahh, but you see last year was forecast to be the worst winter for a century hence this winter is comparatively mild being merely the worst in five years. http://www.express.co.uk/news/nature/520672/Winter-weather-2014-UK-forecast-cold-snow-November. And that after this summers most extreme heat wave in living memory. Am on my second pair of Endura, this time the strike waterproof ones, a touch sweaty but else going strong and comfy. A few people speak well of the Prendas ones.If I know you, and I like you, you can borrow my bike box for £30 a week. PM for details.0
