Hi!
Which bike should I buy?
Pinarello Angliru 2007 with Campagnolo Veloce or Viner Pro Team (2002 maybe) with Columbus Altec2 tubing and Shimano 105 5500 groupset.

As I see they are the same, or very similar.
The viner has a frame size of 60x57 while the pinarello has 59x59. These dimensions are measured by the owners. I'm 192 cm tall with a 90cm inseam and with relatively long arms. I can not try out both bikes, because the bikes are not in my city. So I should travel to buy the bike. It will cost money for me, and I can travel to on location at a time.
I like the viner more, but I think that I would spend more on it later, ex carbon fork, campagnolo groupset, etc. (to make a bike like the Colnago Asso) The pinarello is interesting because of the carbon stays, but the overall bike looks like a mass produced product.
I want a commuter bike, but with an unique "personality".0 -
Don't pay much for either of them.0

I'd be leaning towards the Pinarello - 2007 era Veloce was very good, the bike is a fair bit newer and Pinarello is generally a more desirable brand (although I ride a Viner myself!)0

Buy both. Put the Campag on the Viner and the Shimano on the Pinarello and sell the Pinarello.Faster than a tent.......0

actually, that's probably the right answer!0 -

The price of a bike is almost equal to my monthly salary, so…0 -
Are there no other options ? I'm not sure I'd be spending a months salary on old bikes.0

Another option would be a new triban 500 from decathlon. I’m not sure it will be a quality bike.0 -

Nobody here ever seems to have anything bad to say about them. As for the used ones - you'll need some additional budget to cover unexpected repairs unless they are in very good shape (and it can be difficult to really know that).Faster than a tent.......0 -
I bought the Pinarello. I have ridden it for one hour and I'm pleased so far. I has only some paint chips and scratches.0
