Having just become the owner of a Rockrider 560 for a week now find myself needed some replacement parts ie new rear Mech and front brake level,so I might take the opportunity to upgrade the brakes and like for like on the rear mech can anyone advise me?

How have you managed to break them in a week ? rear mechs in particular are very difficult to break, so much so that I have never broken one in my life, I have bent a couple of brackets but nothing a bit of judicious bending wouldn't put right.
I would normally say up grade a few points on the scale, the difference in unit price isnt that great, but in your case I would suggest buying the cheapest second hand unit available if they will not last more than 7 days0 -
Came off yesterday on a country lane cow shit all over the road and front wheel went from under me as turning at a t junction one broken collarbone, rear mech and brake level Later! And people say support British Farmers f*** that!0

one broken collarbone, !
Sorry to hear that, Well no rush then, use the time to source some good second hand parts, Which should be about 40% or less of the new price, You can pick up a decent rear mech for 15 quid and a set of decent brakes for £400 -

I take it you have never had the misfortune to land face first in the world biggest dog turd, now getting that out of your nostrils is distressing0 -
Sounds like an investment in a cycling proficiency course would be of benefit to you, falling off a mountain bike on the road is not something I ever envisaged as being possible. Hope that collar bone heals up quickly!
As for the parts, personally I would just look for a replacement brake lever (or pair so that they match) and derailleur, replacing the entire brake system is not something to be taken lightly and quite frankly may be wasted on the rest of the bike.0 -
Shimano Deore brake set for 70 quid and a new SLX RD for 35 from Merlin.
You should be able to change the brakes over and replace the RD in about 1 - 1.5hrs (collar bone allowing). Have a look at some of the videos on YouTube and Park Tools for guidance.“Life has been unfaithful
