After reading a few suggestions for winter tyres, I was thinking of trying a Geax Datura 2.2. (26")
Has anyone had any experiences with this tyre?. I have used Conti. Barons before but sidewalls split!
. I mainly ride in Shropshire,so muddy/rocky/slippery in winter.
Would like to hear your opinions/suggestions.

Just built new full suss and put these on.

Only been on two damp rides but seem very good, running tubless.
  • My two pence worth - for winter riding I'm currently wearing Nobby Nic up front and Rocket Ron at the back. I find they are predictable and dig in nicely for my riding style. All tyres will slip over wet roots and rocks, I was recommended this pairing and it served me well last winter; you could go more aggressive but it would be at a big penalty to rolling speed, just depends how much mud you're expecting and how aggressive you really need to be going through it.
