Chainrings

Sure this is probably a dumb question , I currently have SRAM rival compact crankset 50/34, and the chainrings are worn and need replacing .
Do I have to use SRAM , or can I use Shimano rings as there is more choice and they are quite a bit cheaper.
ie will shimano chainrings fit on sram chainset

    SRAM and shimano will work together, Campag will not work.

    Any chain ring with the 5 bolt pattern will fit. You're not limited to just SRAM or Shimano.
    I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.
