Hi all this may not be the right place do i apologise if not. I live in bessacarr in Doncaster and in wanting to know if there are any decent bike shops in the area or within a reasonable driving distance?. Just bought a boardman team 650b and after reading and the overall experience I had with halfords I'd like to get the bike looked at just for peice of mind. Thanks all

I can't help with location but it's nothing you can't check yourself with a couple of Allen keys and a socket set.
Plus you should get a free 6 week checkover, but there's nothing to stop you checking in the meantime.
Anything loose? Any sqeaks /rattles?0 -

Thanks pal, the back brake seems to have bedded in nicely, however the front one doesn't feel particularly sharp and has got a bit of a squeal to it.0 -

I would give the disc a clean with some isopropyl alcohol and then bed some new pads in.
Is the brake making noise when you press the leaver or is it rubbing when you spin the wheel as with it being new it could just need adjusting the brake caliper which is simple to do.0 -

No it's only when I squeeze the lever that it squeals and only as I apply more pressure so if I just give a dab of front brake it's ok but as soon as I apply any amount of pressure it squeals0 -
I've used cycle supreme on Bennetthorpe, had good service from them although I do 99% of work myself.0

Go ride it hard through some water and mud and get the pads bedded in properly.
But discs squeal sometimes. Get used to it.I don't do smileys.
