Roval Rapide CLX 40 query on hub cover

Hi.
Just bought a S-works frameset with Roval disc wheels at really great price.
I will build it myself and just have a query about the Roval hub cover that came with it.
On the photos, you'll see on the front wheel's offside hub cover is just plastic. On the brake side seems standard.
There is a QR hub cover that came with it but it doesn't appear to be meant for the front as it's too long and it simply doesn't fit.
My question is shouldn't be the hub cover metal like on many other QR hubs?
This one is really smooth too.
