Cheap carbon frame or high end carbon seatpost?

I can't decide! I currently have a BMC Team Elite (alloy) running XT 1 x 11 and love the geometry of the bike but can't afford a TE01 frameset...... so I am faced with the above choice. I am just looking to add a little compliance to the back end.
If anyone out there has an On One Lurcher I would love to hear what you think of it as that is the frame I am considering

The On One Lurcher is a pretty harsh frame, like most cheap carbon frames.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

+1, you are going to have to be spending circa £1K plus to get a CF frame that is as compliant as the alloy frame, a CF seatpost won't do much either, tyre volume/pressure is far and away the biggest factor.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

Agreed. Hiding to nothing on that front.
Chinese frame direct would be your best bet. No idea on compliance though. Father tyres at a lower pressure sounds more sensible.0 -

Obv avoid the posts with alloy clamps they tend to be heavier and more expensive than a conventional sp0 -
One of the Canyon vcls seatposts might do the trickYT Wicked 160 ltd
