And no this isn't Tooting for a curry.

Bond was ok, more Bond than the recent thriller movies. I'll leave it at that to avoid any spoilers.

Off to try and find a new suit today, A dark dark navy as it should be black, but I hate black suits. Followed by a quick trip to Delamere with the mtb or maybe the hounds with a coffee at Walk Mill.

Enjoy the day

Threw caution to the wind and had a bacon sandwich. May start taking sugar in my tea before it is taxed out of my reach.

    Morning folks,
Very warm around here today, quite a sweaty ride in as a result. More suicidal small mammals, 2 rabbits yesterday made a dash for my front wheel. This morning there was a very nonchalant fox that wouldn't get out of the road, even when I shouted at him. Then a squirrel ran out from under some bracken at me in Bushy Park. Maybe I should get a helmet cam so I can sue Mother Nature if they take me out.
Full house in here so I'm going to bunk off and have lunch with the Mrs later. Beer and curry this evening so should be able to maintain my figure. Until then tea and ginger nuts.

Also saw Bond. Liked it, but wasn't blown away. Skyfall and Casino Royale my favourite DC films - really liked the grittiness. Goldeneye my all time favourite.

Ahh the delights of Tooting. Pound land, 99p store and curry, always a good sign of a charming area.

Mild day here at present, very warm is pushing it.

@ Flan. How did it compare to Casino Royal and Skyfall?

Soon it's time for a fancy lunch with wine :)

Quite a nice ride in this morning, but as seems to be the case for most (sucks to be you TLW1!) mild here too so was a little overdressed!

Kind of busy at work but getting lots done which isn't like me at all!

I've heard you're a bit of a 'T-Rex' when it comes to money so that point can't be far off :P

A minion has left the office (admittedly on a pre-booked half day off) leaving me with a thorny banking problem to deal with. I'll consider revenge later in my 4 day week :) Other than that it's a bit of a bland day unless you find tax and treasury interesting.

Lovely and sunny out now. Just rode to Twickers for lunch with the Mrs to find our preferred Italian deli was full. Pesky kids on half term! Tried the new place that had opened next door as a substitute. Won't be going there again. But, a lunchtime ride in the sunshine is very welcome at his time of year.

Reminds me of cycling home on my communter machine one night at 2am from the snooker hall in Naam (Cheltenaam). I say 'machine' but it was a sit up and beg thing made in Russia that had a name I couldn't pronounce and it came with a free bucket to pick all the bits up that fell off on a regular basis. At the roundabout on Lansdowne Road, there was a cycle path. The usual thing as it suddenly turned left so you were facing traffic on the wrong side of the road but it did have a nice angled kerbstone, perfect for getting a little air as them over there say. On this occasion, the front end came down and kept going down as the front wheel folded like tissue paper under me. Whilst lying on the ground in that moment of 'what part of me f*cking hurts?', a fox came up to me, sniffed my foot and then proceeded to scratch himself, lookng around as if I wasn't there. He walked off casually when I stood up.

    Back OT:

Chewsday, over for this week. :D

Different is the best way to describe it without spoiling it. Craig still has an edge that the other Bonds didn't.

Isn't that 'edge' a modern requisite? Moore and Connery were the smoothies which reflected the era.

Tooting is getting more gentrified by the day. The last couple of years have seen huge changes and house prices have absolutely rocketed. By the looks of the current prices, houses have gone up by 60% in the last 2-3 years.

No other area like (except maybe Brixton) for near death bike based experiences. A mate mugged someone into paying him 795k for his 2.5 bed terrace, booking a 1/2 million quid profit for having to live in Tooting for three years. Outstanding if you could face it for three years.
If I know you, and I like you, you can borrow my bike box for £30 a week. PM for details.
