As above, researched both although alot more on the mattoc than the 350. Budget is 350. Also my revelations should be in the classifieds if anyone is interested.

Forgot to mention it will be going on a mega tr, general trail riding with a bit o xc.0

I had a 350CR on my Mega TR. You will need to drop the travel but that's pretty easy. Nice fork, works well, good sensitivity, nice and rigid.
I wasn't overly impressed with the mattock I rode. Just felt like there was a bit too much stiction but that could have been because they were new.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
Were you running 150 on your mega??? Ive heard from a few people that after a handful of rides the mattoc beds in nicely, also like the fact it has both low and high speed compression adjustment plus the adjustable bottom out.0

Consider also that support for the 350 may be an issue going forward, depending on what Fox have, and have not, bought and what happens to the rest!Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

Yeah thats one of the main reasons im unsure about the 350. Seals etc will always probably be available but more substantial parts may be more of a concern,60 -
It may create warranty issues, although strictly liability for honouring the warranty falls on the retailer.
Seals and many other parts are generic of course, and mazza's aren't known for unreliability, but just wanted you to take it into consideration.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -

Most appreciated.
To reduce the travel on the 350 would it be a new air shaft jobby or internal spacers???0 -

Internal spacer. Five minute job.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -

Cheers fella. Internal spacer would mean running it at 140????? No mention of being able to run it at 150.0 -

only if the retailer sold or gave them a warranty. Anything done with the retailer would be done through the sale of goods act.0 -
If they fail in the warranty period and parts aren't available then the seller has to replace them with a similar fork of equal or greater value. But that wont happen, spares will be easier to get than for BOS!Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

while we are discussing forks how does the 350 ncr fork compare to a pike fork?
I'm looking at options for a bike build I'm pricing up and the marzocchi is tempting over a rockshox pike fork0 -
I had the same dilemma about a week ago. I ended up going for the 350NCR. I've never had a Pike or tried one, so I'm not sure if it's better (some mixed opinions on this).
I think you would be pleased with either.Stumpjumper FSR Comp 650B http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=13032340

no, they can refund them as long as the owner can prove its a manufacturing fault. within the first 6 months, its the retailer that has to prove it. within the first six months the customer can ask for a refund, repair or replacement which ever is cheapest.0 -
The 350ncr is a bit better than the Pike, I wish I had gone for one now. Marzocchis damping is just brilliant and Rockshox air spring could be better.
You can drop the Marzocchi to 150mm, just buy a 10mm spacer. I made my own spacer but they are available.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
That's funny because I was thinking if I should have gone fora Pike instead!
No reason, just second guessing myself really.Stumpjumper FSR Comp 650B http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=13032340
