Tyre Size on Mavics

I want to try some wider tyres over the winter, been a fair bit of talk about them so keen to see what the fuss is all about.

I ride with some 2011 cosmic carbone SL's whats the preferred tyre size for these and whats the limiting facotor the rim or the bike frame ? How big should I go ? 28's? 25's ?

    28's will work on these rims. Your only concern would be frame clearance. I prefer 28's over 25's do to the cushy ride and no perceptible loss of speed but it's usually a personal preference. Also, if you use mudguards check for clearance in your frame as the 28's will be taller given the same make and model tyre. Try them out and see if you like them.
