This should be easy but I have returned three pairs to various suppliers. Any recommendations for
winter leggings, please, if possible with a link?

thanks

  • Not sure what the weather's like in Quatious, but the Alé Plus Clima Protection Windstopper Bib Tights are the best thing I've found so far for the UK. Used to double up with an old pair of chamois-less bib tights for the really cold weather, no need with these. Not quite cold enough yet though!

Don't have a link I'm afraid but I bought a pair of Gore bib longs a couple of years ago. They cost about £100 and are as good as new today. They are warm, waterproof, wind proof and fit really well - a fantastic product, probably the best quality clothing item I have for cycling.

Edit- found a link after all.

all unpadded for wearing over castelli shorts, for various conditions and temperatures.

I have the same but without a pad so will probably doubel them up with some bibs for this winter. Excellent product and you DO get what you pay for.

I'll be wearing some Sportful Total Comfort tights on my Arctic bike ride in February - how many layers over them depends how many degrees below zero! Better quality tights feature more panels and better materials / shaping / fit IME - Castelli Sorpassos are very good in dry conditions down to near zero. The problem with many Windstopper tights is they can feel clammy and restrictive in certain conditions.
