Mavic Cosmic Carbone SL cleaning
The secret rider

Hi,
Ive just got back from working away so not riden my road bike for about three months.
I have some mavic cosmic sl's like these;
When they turn very slowly, when the bike is in the stand i can hear the faint noise of what I can only assume is some dirt or grit in the wheel, it sounds like it is faling around where the carbon 'shield' is
Is there a way to get in there and clean this out, should i, do i ?
Any help appreciated

Used to have some Carbones myself until they got totalled!
No way to get in there to clean out. Will just be a small piece of grit that came in through the gap between the spoke and fairing. Maybe run water through the wheel with the drain hole at the bottom and should come out.
Wont cause any damage in there but can be annoying.0 -

Thanks for the reassurance mate, think i will just leave it then, I guess its the downside of running wheels like this as your all year round wheels0
