Hi All, say around £2500 to spend on Full Suspension MTB, like the Whyte T129RS at around £2.7k and its review sounds a good bet, good components but I'd like a little more travel on the front end, only 120mm! on the Whyte. My riding is trail, so am I worrying too much here? do you boys and girls have any other recommendations at this value?. Thanks for assistance in advance

Have a look at the Canyon bikes, you buy direct from them and so get a lot of bike for the money, I've recently bought a canyon nerve 29'er and love it, fantastic bike0

Specialized Camber Evo 29 or just a touch over budget for the Transition Smuggler.
Both are brilliant bikes with superb frames. You can get better components on bikes from ze germans but the frames are mostly rather uninspiring. People seem to forget that it's the frame which really defines how a bike rides.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -

I'd be interested to hear where you think the stumpy 29er fits in. I keep looking at the Camber as I fancy a short travel 29er but struggle to see why you wouldn't choose the stumpy with the extra travel.0 -

If you're dropping £2.5k on a bike then the frame, fork and wheels need to be 'just so'
That what 'makes' the bike. All the rest is just floss and easily changed0 -

The Stumpy 29 is also excellent. I just thought the Camber Evo would suit your intended use betterTransition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -

Good components for the price but completely over the top for what the OP wants, more of an endure tank than an all round trail bike.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
I really rate my Trance 29er. But Giant seem to have discontinued big wheel long travel for 2016.0

If like me your not interested in racing to the top and are happy to just winch up the steepest climbs but want the most fun down the other side see if you can get a ride on a codeine 29er, you wont regret it, several people in myarea have tried mine and have all ended up buying one0
