Hello,
I am building up my first road bike. I have sourced a canyon ultimate AL SLX frame. Unfortunately it can only accept untapered 1 1/4 diameter steerers according to them. I can't order the forks off them. I have thought of using headtube reducers to accomodate my 1 1/8 steerer I have purchased.
Can anyone suggest another solution?

What type of headset does it take?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Hello,
I'm a bit of a newbie. I believe it's a threadless one.

This is the one they normally have on that model I believe0 -
Dose not really answer the question as it does not give the info on the type of headset.
So what year is the frame?
Or you can put some info into this https://www.canecreek.com/headset-fit-finder"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

IS bearings so you can't use shims as the bearings sit in the frame.
So this makes things fun for you.
Your only option is the correct sized fork with suitable tapered steerer or to have some internal race location parts made up.but I would look out for a fork.
Additional thinking. An other couple of options. Have some reducers made to suit. Not seen anything to work with IS fit.
Another is there may be suitable bearings that will fit the frame and work with a 1 1/8" fork but that might take some emails to headset producers or just a bearing suppliers with the specs."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Hello,
What about these? They do recess into the frame so the bearing ring could sit in them?
