Numpty question - when installing a new Rotor smaller chainring, which way around does it go? I see no marking on the ring itself.

Second - are the bolts a standard size? I seem to have misplaced one set somewhere in my garage...!

If you look at the small chain ring, you'll see a recess where the bolt goes like in the image. That recess needs to face in towards the frame. If you put it the other way around, your chain will continually drop between the rings when changing down from the big to small ring. The outer or big ring obviously has to face outwards away from the frame.

I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.
