Looked at the massive thread in the buying advice section? Best section to ask and find buying advice."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Search for posts on the subject by D.I.Y. He's very knowledgeable on the latest Cree based torches direct from China, also advice about batteries and chargers, and clever / cheap ways of mounting the torches on the bars using bits of old inner tube.
I'm assuming you want them for off-road riding...0 -
2 to 4 of these:

or this one which is almost as good:

an 18650 USB power pack for a charger - ebay has 100s
an old Original equipment laptop battery from Dell or Lenovo for a good source of batteries ebay has 100s

I go out with someone who has the Cree Solarstorm U2 lights and they are a serious bit of lighting, comparable with another guy who had a £150 piece of kit on his bike. As long as you don't mind stowing the battery somewhere (he puts it in his spare bottle cage, it seems a great bit of kit for around £15.0 -
I've got a Solarstorm X2 (which I put on my helmet) and an X3 (which I put on my handlebars) - both run for a similar amount of time, generally 4-5 hours depending on the outside temp (batteries like to be warm).. I happily go out any time of the night with them on. I tend to have the X3 on all the time and just switch the X2 on for trickier sections.. When I might be moving the handlebars around a lot etc..
I have cable-tied the battery holder bag to my frame, where the top tube meets the seatube inside the triangle (hardtail) - It's secure, and cable-tieing the bad lets me change the battery easily as well.. I also cable-tied the cable for the light underneath the top tube as well..
For the price (£15, £20), they are amazing...
