Update for ya
last couple of days I've been spending money I don't have lol.
After spending a couple of weeks and countless hours trawling the internet I've made the decision on what to upgrade my gear set to.
Out has gone;
The 8spd cassette and in comes a 10spd 11-36T Shimano CS-M771-10
The SRAM X-5 rear derailleur has gone and made way for a Shimano 10spd XTR RD-M986 GS
The SRAM x-5 shifters have made way for Shimano Deore XT SL-M780
and, of course the chain has been changed for a shimano 10spd.
on top of fitting and fetling the above I have done an oil change on the suspension and had to do a bleed on the brakes as I pumped the piston out on the front without the the wheel fitted :roll:
Still yet to take it out but all that's left to change now are the; bottom bracket and front chainset.

could have saved a bit by going SLX
I didn't plan on spending a load, but when I got to the shop it's all the had left on the shelf and I suppose I was impatient lol.
I plan to go out for a short hike shortly 8)0 -
Not long got back from a 15ish miler around the New Forest, the new kit performed effortlessly, couldn't fault it. Only planned on doing a short hack, ended up going for a hike lol funny how time flies when your having fun.0
