Altura Orkney panniers - How waterproof are they?

I purchased a pair of these from Edinburgh Bikes sale as they were down to just over £80 for the pair.

"waterproof dryline construction"

Does this mean they are waterproof or splash proof?

At that price and from the description I'd expect them to be fully waterproof. You bought them - have you any reason to think they are not fully waterproof?

At that price and from the description I'd expect them to be fully waterproof. You bought them - have you any reason to think they are not fully waterproof?

None at all, I've only used them once and it was a sunny day. I might take an empty one in the shower with me one day to test it. :roll:

Fill them with water, if they leak they're not waterproof.

they are the panniers I have too and based on the soaking I got last week, they are alot more waterproof than I am.
