ive been a very lucky man this morning and won 1st prize in a halfords comp on facebook the prize is a brownlee brothers signed boardman road team carbon frame ,british cycling jersey signed by the womens team sprint team , mongoose helmet signed by chris akrigg greg illingworth and paul ryan, carbon cage signed by the brownlee brothers and a few other bits and pieces.
unfortunatly the frame is a size large and im a small/ medium so i will be selling it on to fund a frame / N+1 bike i want but ive no idea if a signed frame is worth anymore than a standard one and i have no idea about triathlon and wiether its a collectable sport etc.
does anyone have any usefull advice?

The Brownlees aren't household names, so the bike will not sell for any premium over the normal
price of the bike. Chances are you'll not even get full rrp of the bike as it's second hand. You'll be
better off pricing it sensibly to in order to sell. If you're unrealistic it'll not sell.0 -
Go onto a triathlon forum and see if there are Brownlee fans on there that might want it, you may find someone who'd love to take it off your hands for a good price0

Olympic and World triathlon champions so I would imagine more than a few people have heard of them even if you haven't.0 -
Thanks. I was also thinking trying to find a triathlon forum might be the best way. I will have to have a hunt about once the frame arrives. its a shame the frames a large otherwise I probably would of used it. Im a small/ medium though so no good to meViner

I don't think they're saying they haven't heard of them, just that they aren't exactly in the league of fan collectable and likely to raise the price of an item by having their signature on it.I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.0 -
It's not like the frame Alastair rode to win Olympic gold, so not really colleactable - simply a stock frame with a squiggle in marker pen, so can't see why it would have any more value than what you'd get on the market. No one pays retail for 'used' product - 60% of retail would be my estimate.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0
