Specialized Allez Comp 2015 or 2016
Hello new to the forum as I would like some advice.
Last year I got a venge expert and then a stages power meter to fit the FSA S-LK light BB30 standard crankset.
I want a alloy specialized bike for winter training and like the idea of the comp, 11 speed 105.
Can someone please tell me if the comp 2015 or 2016 uses BB30 or BB386 crankset. Specialized concept site says BB30 but I spoke to the store on the phone and they tell me the 2016 is BB386.
My stages power meter crank set is not for a BB386?
Can anyone please shed some light.
Many thanks,
Simon

I can't shed any light on the BB issue that you raise, but what I will say is that there's a new aero-road styled Allez hitting the shelves in the coming months, much like an alloy version of your Venge.
Announcements from Specialized are a bit thin on the ground, but the last I heard was a December release date. If you're interested then have a Google for "Allez Sprint" and you'll find some details, but it might be worth holding off a couple of months to see what the release model spec is like.0 -
I have seen the sprint, looks very nice but as always I have a budget to stick to.
The Allez comp seems to be the correct level for a training bike. The sprint is bound to be £000's0 -
The Allez comp 16 uses a BB386 crankset.
Specialized needs to display the product deatails correctly. The web site says it uses a BB30 crankset.0
