Broken tabs on garmin 510

Hi all I've broken one of the tabs on my garmin.I was going to send it back for a replacement back but I've found there is a race ware quick fix.

Has anyone used one feedback would be much appreciated.the question is repair myself or send of for repair

    use the 'edit' button, top right corner of your post, then you can correct it

    Repaired my 510 via the Raceware part about 5 months ago.

    Very easy, just stick on with superglue and secure. Sits less sbout 1mm higher and don't notice even though mine is stem mount. Would do again if that helps, rather than pay £70 for reconditioned unit from Garmin (they don't just fix the back)

    My 800 went for a flier today after going over a bump at about 35mph. The tabs have both smashed off, not sure if that was because of the bump or when it hit the ground afterwards. Either way, it's out of warranty (bought Dec 2013), so I'll be going down the raceware route. Bit annoying really, as I have treated the Garmin with respect and it has just worn out.

    Edit: I see there are alternatives. Has anyone experience of these:

    A guy I know used sugru - I don't know how durable this will be though

    That's why Garmin put the check strap in to stop this happening
