mine have never really gripped my arms but i think i have skinny arms.mine are rapha and i think i have seen others that are a little more naturally grippy. i have ended up wearing long sleeve base layers rather then arm warmers but when it gets a little extra chilly i will wear arm warmers on top of the long sleeves as they grip them fine.enigma esprit

I have this problem with Rapha armwarmers, but not Castelli Nanoflex ones. Perhaps another brand will fit you better?0

Safety pins stop arm warmers dropping down. Old school, simple and cheap.

John.
pegs should do it but without the holes.0 -
try that new fangled invention, long sleeves.
It's not as though the arms are much more than stopping the face from resting on the stem.0 -
My Assos ones have a grip like a python.
(they were heavily discounted and fell into my basket when I was buying some bibshorts from their outlet store)
Long sleeves are fine once it gets properly cold, but at the moment it's nice to have something you can remove if you get too hot.0 -
I wonder if people remove them mid ride more because they are uncomfortable/annoying, than anything to do with being too warm.
Did you remove your old ones much OP, or end up doing the whole ride with them on most of the time?0 -

Not the OP, but mine are comfy and only come off when I get too hot. Mind you, they are the Roubaix ones, so that happens quite a lot. Must get some thinner ones too...0 -

Isn't that often the thing with arm and leg warmers though?
Leg warmers especially, they end up being warmer than the bib shorts, so much better to get bib tights, especially as you are really unlikely to remove mid ride.
You can of course layer up top, but if its so cold that you need roubaix ones then you probably are not in a standard jersey with thick base layer anyway.
Thin arm warmers can make your arms feel colder. Think some are even 'arm coolers' rather than warmers.
I tend to wear a long sleeve jersey with windproof front as next step up from short sleeves.
I find that way more comfortable than arm warmers and never wish I could take the arms off.
You can also wear a long sleeve base layer too (or even arm warmers/coolers underneath!).
Am not knocking arm warmers, just feel they are over rated and not actually that useful.0 -
I find I use my arm warmers for about a month in the autumn and again in the spring. For the lower half I go straight from bibshorts to bibtights and back again; don't think I'd get on with knee warmers or 3/4 length bibs. Only rarely do I set out in bibtights and later find I'm too hot.0

This oughtta fix it.
Open One+ BMC TE29 Seven 622SL On One Scandal Cervelo RS0 -
Elastic bands - no holes, nice fit, no chance of pronging yourself with pins.
Can also be used on knee warmers for winter duathlons.Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am

I've seen videos like that. Bit like Two Girls/One Cup but only involving feet.Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am
