Adaptors that came with Rocshox Monarch RL rear shock?

Hi all
Can some one please enlighten me?
This metal adaptor came with my Rocshox monarch RL manual? The bike is a giant anthem 27.5 2.
Any idea what this is?
Looks extremely similar to the 142x12 adaptor I see on websites for the giant anthem conversion from 135QR?
It's probably not that, but what is it?

Looks like a spare mech hanger to me.
But I doubt you'd get one with a shock, so I don't know.

The pedal sticker was glued to the crank. I just stuck it to the bag when I was unpacking and setting up the bike.0 -

Did the bike come fitted with the Monarch? If so, I'd say someone popped the hanger in the bag when the bike was shipped.“Life has been unfaithful

Presumably somebody just put the spare mech hanger conveniently in the same bag as the manual for the shock that came with your full build?... mystery solved?...
