Hi folks. New to Bike Radar forum....looking to buy new hardtail at around £1k. Currently have GT Agressor 1, now looking to spend some money. Reading loads of reviews and been in local Evans bike store and my head is now totally scrambled !!! So looking for some help!!!???
I am a 6' 2" guy, age 56 and reasonably fit. Not sure to go with 650 or 29er....so please give me some help here with all your fresh ideas pick a best bike for me !!!!! ????

Many thanks

How about a Giant Anthem 3 for £1099?
A cracking bike for XC and trails.

In that case, how about a Bird Zero?

Bird Zero is where I'd put my £1k too...

Gorgeous bike with a great frame and a decent spec for the money too!

Not ridden one, but the reviews (from trusted reviewers) and spec make it a great trail bike at that price point, but d you want a trail bike or more of an XC bike?

More of a half way house would be an on-one Parkwood http://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/CBOOPWX5/on-one-parkwood-sram-x5-mountain-bike I'd certainly take the Marzocchi fork option moving you nearer your budget and a few others to your preference.
