It rained in the night, there is all this wet stuff lying around, steaming :D

Might take the day off today, relax a bit, prepare myself for the busy week ahead

Fully intended to go out on the bike this morning, but our 2 week old daughter had other ideas. A couple of nasty bouts of wind during the night (her not me  ) meant I couldn't even open my eyes at getting-up-for-a-ride-time.

We're also having some work done on the house and I then have a kitchen to fit after I'm back at work, so riding/training time is severely limited. What's worse is my riding buddy recently started dating a very able cyclist (her 10 mile PB is 24-odd) and has been knocking out a lot of big, lumpy rides which means I'm going to be struggling and sucking more wheels than Valverde when I get back out.

So today it's scraping tiles off the wall, couple of friends coming to see the baby then to my sisters for dinner later.

Been round to friends for coffee and let the hound trash someone else's garden for a change. Although he was quite well behaved for a change, preserving the illusion that he''s no trouble at all.

Later is yet more jobs and Dads taxi work. Then maybe a bit of a doss before next week's slog.

Morning noork supports and conceptual non-retirees

Took toots swimming. Now watching Cat in the Hat for the hundred and eleventy twelfth time... Bought sticky pastries for lunch and it's time to get stuck into them.

    Did someone mention a sister?

Wind is fine but when it's followed by a milk fountain...

Watched the highlights of Il Lombardia last night as I missed it last Sunday and managed to avoid Po Face (not difficult) and the result. Fantastic descending from Nibali, worth a watch. Crudcatchers take note. 1 hour 14 mins in:

Thanks, this is our second but it's true what they say about girls - they're a lot more hassle! Our son was and still is good as gold, but Holly seems to think sleeping is something you do for an hour at a time.
