Sidebike mtb shoes

Anyone got any experience of these? Thinking they could be too good to be true.

What sounds too good to be true?
Look like clown shoes, but less funny.

Worse than that, they look like road shoes.
A bit expensive considering there's no mention of a carbon sole.
