Seatpost question

The diameter for the seat post on my frame is 30.9mm, the seat post I have found at a good price is 30.0mm. My question is whether or not I will get enough bite on the quick release to hold the seat post in position? Or will I need to look at 30.9mm seat posts? Rookie question I know- sorry

Why make a range in 0.1mm steps if any size would do?
Get the correct size."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

You may be able to get a shim for that difference (about a fiver) but it's going to be thin!Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
