Brake Inner Cables for Cross Type Levers?

Hi all, I have another (possibly daft) question. I want to replace the inner cable on my Charge Plug that has bullhorns and a cross type lever. The problem is I can't find the right inner anywhere - it terminates with a ball. I've tried a normal Shimano type inner, but the collar at the end is too thick to sit into the lever properly.

Anyone have any idea where I might source the correct cable? I'd be very grateful :)

    I've used a conventional pear-nipple, road type inner cable - you could try filing the nipple to remove the shoulder to let it seat better, it's only soft metal.
    Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
