New fork advice

I want to get a new fork my my new build and I'm stuck between a 2015 FOX 34 and the new 2016 Rockshox Pike. I can get the Fox for less then £400 but the Pike is about £600. I would like to know if the Pike is worth the extra money.

The Fox 34 is cheap for a reason. Crap damping, limited adjustment and a flexy chassis. This year's model is very good but double the price.
Here's a cheaper Pike. £405 if you order while there's an extra 10% off.

It is pretty bad and very flexy. I was going to buy one instead of the Pike until I rode a mates bike with a 2014 Fox 34. It's no stiffer than a Rockshox Revelation, maybe even less stiff. The damping is pretty nasty as well.
That Pike may not be the top model but it's still a very good fork and in a different league to the Fox. If it was the new, completely redesigned 34 then I would say go for it.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
It can't be as bad as people say it is.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
