This is probably common knowledge - but I'm finding they work well as a sleep-aid.
"Know when you've had a v hard ride, or done a hard evening turbo session or whatever, and the body's all messed up and muscles are sore and restless, and you know you're in for a disturbed night's sleep...?
Look no further than a milky bedtime protein drink - my choice: Hi5 Chocolate - it really works!"
They do though...

You have to consider that chocolate will be slightly caffeinated though!

How do they get away with calling that a protein shake? 3 x more carbs in that than protein (allowing for the milk). If you actually want a protein shake then I'd look for something else.0

Normally after a tough session, I definately don't need any assistance in sleeping that night0

Normally after a tough session, I definitely don't need any assistance in sleeping that night
Gosh I wish I was like that. When I get really tired, I can't sleep which makes me even more tired. Cue evil cycle of poor recovery.0 -

Likewise - I just feel a bit twisted, like my body is all stressed out: admittedly much more so after an evening training session than a daytime ride.
DIY - yes I used the wrong term, 'recovery shake' is what they are.
It does work though for me.0 -
Apricot, blackberry, Spinach and even banana make good protein shakes.0
