New Bike for Beginner (Need Advice)

Hi, so as the title says im looking to buy a new bike. Not been into biking for a few years but im looking to get back into things. The 2 bikes ive been looking at are as follows:

Carrera Vengeance Mens Mountain Bike 2015 - http://www.halfords.com/cycling/bikes/mountain-bikes/carrera-vengeance-mens-mountain-bike-2015
From what I understand it looks like the B'TWIN is a better bike? (from what ive read etc)
Also, if you guys have better alternatives that would be appreciated. Other than that would the bikes above be a good starting bike for the prices they are at?

For that price the Rockrider is an absolute steal.
Better fork, hydraulic brakes and a 10 spd drivetrain for less than £350 - amazing value0 -
Got my eye on the Rockrider 560 too. £340.00 does seem a great price. Reasonably light as well at 12.9kg without peddles. Decisions decisions...0
