Hi all,
I am in the process of buying the Orbea Urban 10 bike http://www.tredz.co.uk/.Orbea-Urban-10-2015-Hybrid-Sports-Bike_81138.htm.
It's exactly what I need, 90% on road and 10% soft trails, it's gorgeous and light but my only concern
is that it has only 7 speeds. There is a big chainset at the back set but are these enough?
Does anyone have any thought to share?
Thanks!

Hi, it looks pretty good, nothing wrong with 7 gears but there could be some quite big jumps between gears.
If it's comfy and the right size for you go for itHe is not the messiah, he is a very naughty boy !!0 -
Thanks topdude!
Unfortunately the Urban 10 wasn't available at my size
so I went for the 20 which the only difference is the lack of disc breaks.
Will I be able to add disc breaks (if I decide to) since the frame and everything else is the same?
How easy/difficult would that be? Not from me of course but from an experienced tech?
Thank you!0 -
The frame isn't the same. No disk mounts on the 20 by the looks of it.0

Hi imposter,
are you sure? Cause from a big online bike store they said that the frame is exactly the same.
Their only difference are the disc breaks, obviously, and a couple other minor things. How can I be sure?
I also wrote to Orbea but never answered. That was a week ago.
Other than that, what is your opinion for the 7 speeds and the Shimano TZ31 14-34t 7-Speed cassette?
Will it be easy on the ride?
edit: the geometry at orbea's site is exactly the same.
Thank you!0
