bike cam

I am after a relatively cheap bike cam that would ideally fit to my road bike handlebars. Up to around £100 and has to be waterproof. Any recommendations?

I'm in the market for one too. I have an old Dogcam (bullet style) but it's old tech and a pain to use/upload/analyse.
Take a look here as Dogcamsport (new name for Dogcam). They carry the Roadhawk range. Roadhawk have a very good reputation for car dashcams at the higher end of the market.

Saw the basic model for £80 but then add a mount and card soon bumps it up over £100.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0 -
Search Ebay for 808#26 for 1080p £60 or 808#18 for 720p £20
You can get gopro style waterproof cases, but these can be made waterproof fairly easily with innertube. They are light enough to be mounted using a velco strap and sticky velcro tape.
The quality is good enough, but not gopro quality.
This was filmed using the older version:

Interesting. Do the Garmin Virbs hook up with Garmin Edge cycle computers?0 -

According to some searches, yes they do. I have seen a menu on my 800 for VIRB. This is a winner for me.0 -
the first gen virb is very good. you can record power cadence/HR etc and effectively it acts as a garmin for recording data. you get a fit file that matches your efforts. its got a genuine 2 hour battery life and you can power it externally whilst on the go to extend that. only downside is its not light.
one thing though. don't allow it to sync to garmin connect if you use it in a car then allow garmin connect to sync to strava. everytime it swtiches on it creates a fit file and you get a clogged up strava account!0 -

So I bought the Virb and love it. Perfect size and after sticking it to a cheap garmin replica out front mount, it sits great on the handlebars.
Problem: Made 1 or 2 recordings in the house as a test and everything fine. Went out for ride today and 2 minutes in to the red light stops flashing. The whole unit had frozen.
Has this happened to anyone? Using a rubbish class 4 sdcard until new one arrives in post tomorrow, so I am hoping it's this..0
